I love this corset so much. It really accentuates my hourglass shape and it's comfy and soft and easy to put on. I've had no real problems with it at all and it has definitely lasted, and I dance in it!
A couple things to keep in mind though is that if you have saddlebags or fatty hips, they'll stick out on the sides because the corset isn't the style to cover those areas. It ends right above the hips, and of course under the bust.
Also, my rib-cage is uneven so the corset sometimes tilts and contorts on my ribcage, making the seam uneven and causing the bottom to pinch into my torso. Do not think that this corset is just a costume piece that only looks like a corset... it really is one! I followed their sizing chart and "broke in" my corset as they recommended, and I was pretty amazed (and very pleased) by the results. It took me about three stints of wearing it to get it to the point where the lacing in the back was tight enough for the flap of vinyl (which goes underneath the lacing) to reach the opposite side (so as to not expose any of the dress I was wearing beneath it), but it wasn't bad at all. It just took me that long to get my body used to having a smaller waist - because YES, this corset will make your waist smaller... and you'll develop a newfound respect for Scarlett O'Hara! I took my waist down only 5 inches (please note that I am a fairly athletic person and there isn't a lot of... um... "malleable material" to squish out of the way), and felt that it was more than sufficient for my costume. FYI - this item was purchased in black vinyl for Halloween (to complete a Betty Page ensemble) and while I wouldn't say that I had the best costume that night, I was definitely in the top 3. Maybe even 2.
The cool thing about this corset is that even though it may take you about 5-10 minutes to get laced up (it's definitely faster if you have someone to help!) - you can get that thing off in about 2 seconds. So if anyone is worried that they will feel claustraphobic after getting laced in, rest assured that you can escape in no time at all. Just don't let anyone jokingly unzip you - otherwise it'll take another 5-10 minutes to lace yourself in again. :P

I bought this corset, the emerald green velvet is of a beautiful shade, the embroidery, sequined work on the front is very well made. I got the corset, and was well surprised by how nice it is, but HOW SMALL!!! The corset 42 size tag doesn't match at all with the 42 European measurements, as well as with the 40" waist option given by the seller. I am a classical 42 size in Europe. Now, the size tag 42 of this corset is an European 38-40 petite, or USA 8-10 size!!! Now, I tried to pull me in... well... with an open lacing on the back of almost 6" (15 cm)...!! This corset is never going to give me any chance of an hourglass shape either, the high end of a real 42 size would be a bit more generous. And for the price, well, honestly speaking, it is saddening. The trouble of sending back the corset from Europe to USA is a bit too much of a hassle.
I plan to purchase another one from the same company, just to check if an European 44 or 46 size satisfies normal sizing hopes... it means that shall I purchase 45-46" waist when the reality my waist is 35"??? Not even my chest has 45"diameter, but 40"!!!

I was a little leery about spending this much on an item that I couldn't try first. But I used the size chart and my best guess and had a great personal attendant to tie me in so it fit perfect for my wedding day!
The corset is very well made and durable and super comfortable! The corset itself is covered in white lace and has light blue ribbons along the front boning which you can't see in the picture. The front hook closure is so nice and strong and the back has a tie string from the bottom up and a tie from the top down to meet in the middle for a great, secure hold for a beautiful hourglass shape! I suggest having someone help tie you in because they can help you properly adjust the strings in the areas where you need it. Especially if you're going to wear it for your big day.
I'm positive this corset will last for many more occasions because of its wonderful construction!

- Bra cups are not really supportive and shapeless,
- Anbother point is that the lace coerering the cups show trough almost any material.

Besides the support issue, the item color is nice, and in general quite well made and attractive (comparable to its sale price); so I am giving it two stars.
